A few months ago, I visited Sloop Brewing at the barn. This would be there original Brewery site and it is in the countryside, a ride off the somewhat main roads and down a long dirt driveway. This original Brewing area is on a farm with quite a lot of room for growing hops and outdoor activities for family. The tap tasting room is quaint with not many amenities, and from what I’m finding out as I’m trying to write this post they may be shutting it down, which would be a shame cuz it’s a great spot of the beaten path, and we will have to go to the new Brewing area. so, if you’re thinking of a visit check it out soon or go check the newer place and now main Brewery. The brews I enjoyed there were Green Islands, Techno Viking, Juicier Bomb, Super Soft, Simcoe Bomb.

Fox Farm Brewery would be our last stop heading home, located in a rural area in Salem, CT. it was in a barn and was of good-sized with seating inside, upstairs, and outside, along with plenty of standing room every were. the brewing area seemed to be on the large size that you could see from the tap-tasting room. this would be another popular place on a late Sunday afternoon, everyone there seemed to be enjoying themselves right along with us. the brews we sampled where Quiet Life, Quiet Night, Wile, Winnow, and a growler for later at home of Amble.

Beer’d Brewing in Stonington, CT is our second stop, and it would be located in an old industrial building being rented or owned? into sections kind of like an indoor flea market, we passed by an enclosed pizza shop and other shops selling things from artwork clothing to furniture that were in private rooms or out in large open areas, on our walk to the brewery, that was enclosed off of a hallway with a sliding door. they seem to have plenty of space for a tap tasting room along with some retail sales and the brewing was in the back, as you can see from the pictures. it was going well for a Sunday afternoon. the brews we sampled where The Next Episode #17, Kittens & Canoes, The Next Episode Remix Volume 1, Whisker’d Wit.

Gray Sail Brewing of Westerly, RI would be our first stop out of three heading back towards home on Sunday even though we had to go back east first. because we stayed in a hotel near mystic. seeing it was our first visit and we got there before it opened, it was hard to tell where to go and we started where we thought the tasting room, but it was the main Brewery and growler filling station. The tasting room was next door in a house, which had a bar 3 rooms to sit in along with a side yard that you can sit outside with games for kids and the adults. Brews we sampled where Flagship Ale, Flying Horse (Westerly 350th), Hazy Day, Resilience, Wheelhouse Series: Far, Far, Aweigh, Leaning Chimney Smoked Porter. We also got a growler to take home of House Ipa.

Our third stop for the day would be Revival Brewing in Cranston, on a tip from our waitress at BJ’s. She said that you must check this place out. this Brewery was in what I would say was an old restaurant with a microbrew room connected at one end, but it seemed more family-oriented, seeing they had games for kids and a nice outside play area with corn hole and picnic tables. We did have a good time here, and these were the Brews we sampled. HAMR Oceanic State Pale Ale, What Cheer?, Daring India Pale Ale, Wafel, Merry Beary Strawberry Peach Sour, You Schwifty? Szechuan-style IPA. We also got a mixed 4 pack to take with us for later.
