Let’s see now! Who am I? I am from western Mass now since about 1983. I enjoy finding and having a good brew. At other times in my life I would drink the average mass produced beer with every body else. My sister’s second husband came along and we hit it off, then things changed for us. We started enjoying other beers along with are usual ones. We started with Canadian and then European and though we had every thing there was. In the late 80’s I heard about Sam Adams and we split a six to try it. Upon opening his and one sip my brother in-law heads to the sink and dumped his! I on the other hand I drank all but the last sip or sow and a buddy of his came along and finished mine and the other four. Thinking we missed something we tried again and started to enjoy these flavorful brews, that started popping up all over the place. That’s lead me to write this blog. It’s a journal of where I’ve been and what I’ve had. Most is from me other stuff is from others and I try to mention them.

Now for the story of bad ass. It started when my younger brother and I and friends went to an out door two day concert. We packed lite so it was booze not beer much lighter! A blanket, cooler of food, and other stuff? that if caught with it now in small amounts is only a small fine in some states.  Well my brother was sleeping some of it off when a buddy from work found us. My brother woke up and almost barfed on his shoes. The next week at work after the story went around, we were called the Bad Ass’s. Well I try to live up to that every day of my life and encourage it in others I meet. You only have this one life so make the best out of it and don’t waste time unless it’s to enjoy a good brew.

  1. Hey Dennis,

I just thought I’d let you know that I passed my all the tests I took while down in Florida. I know Myna wanted to hear how it went… now I just have my sailing test this summer to get through and I’m set.

I hope you had a safe drive back,

P.S. have you had this quote before? “Somebody left the cork out of my lunch.” -W.C. Fields
