Celebrate
Texas Independence Day at Saint Arnold
Friday, March 2

If there’s one thing Texans agree on, it’s this:
Texas is awesome. Each March, it grows one year more
awesome.

On Friday, March 2, we’re celebrating
our great state with a Texas sized Lunch Special: Texas Independence Steaks.
From 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM, $23 will get you get a ribeye, roasted potatoes, and
beer. After 2:00, the steak meal will remain available, but will not include
beer. Want a salad? That’s cool, but we will have you sign a certificate
renouncing your Texas citizenship. Our full regular menu will also be available
as usual.

Throughout the day, we’ll have our commemorative Texas
Independence Day pint glass available for purchase. You can get it by itself or
filled with a pint of beer for $10.

That evening, Pub Night is going Texan. We’ll be open
until 10:00 PM, and
two brave
Texans will get the chance to prove their pride with our Steak Eating Contest.
The two contestants will be chosen at the event and then go head-to-head to
finish a 72 oz. steak meal. The winner will receive an amazing
prize.

If you’re not up for a full-on eating competition,
our Pub Night food menu will be available throughout the
evening.

Positions Open
Now + More Coming Soon

If you’re a friendly, hard
working beer lover, you could be the next member of the Saint Arnold Brew
Crew. With our new beer garden and restaurant looking more and more like a beer
garden and restaurant each day, we are currently looking for new members to join
our front of house staff.

We are hiring now, and over the next few
months, we will be adding many new positions. Check our Careers page now and
often to see the job descriptions.

 Tell
Us What You Think

Speaking of our new beer garden and restaurant, we want
to hear about your experiences with craft beer and the places that serve it.
We’ve worked with a group of students at Rice University to put together a
survey and gather your opinions. Let us know what you think! The survey is short
– it’ll take you less than five minutes.

  Sneak Peak
of Orange Show at The Orange Show
Saturday, March 3 – 2:00 – 4:00
PM

What’s that – a brand new beer? It is! In March, Orange
Show – a Blonde Ale with Real Blood Oranges – will become the newest addition to
our year round lineup. We’ll tell you all about it very soon, but if you’d like
to be one of the first people to taste it, you’ll want to head to the place that
inspired the beer – The Orange Show itself.

Saturday, March 3 is
Blessing of The Orange Show Day – filled with Aztec dancing, craft activities
for kids and adults, food trucks and music, plus beer samples and tours of The
Orange Show Monument. The event is free and open to the
public.

Houston Lebowski Bash
at Smither Park

Saturday, March 3 –
6:00 – 10:00 PM

Stick around the Orange Show that same evening for
a celebration of all things Lebowski – including a costume contest, trivia,
live music, and an outdoor screening of the cult film in beautiful Smither
Park, right next to the Orange Show.

Saint Arnold beer and White
Russians will be available throughout the evening. The screening begins at 7:30
PM. Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door.

46th Annual Buffalo Bayou Partnership
Regatta

Saturday, March 10 – 7:00 AM – 2:00
PM

We always get excited for
longstanding Houston traditions, and the Buffalo Bayou Partnership Regatta
certainly qualifies. This year’s Regatta is the 46th Annual! The 15-mile
American Canoe Association sanctioned race along scenic Buffalo Bayou is Texas’
largest canoe and kayak race. Paddlers (ages 12 and up) are welcome to enter
competitively or just for pleasure.

Those not wanting to paddle can cheer on
racers along the route or catch the outdoor fun at the finish line festivities
at Allen’s Landing (that’s where the beer comes in!).

Brew at the
Zoo
Thursday, April 26 – 7:00 – 10:00 PM

The Houston Zoo is always a fun place. Add
in some of the best beers from Texas, and it’s even more fun! Brew at the Zoo
allows you to enjoy beer while you check out some of your favorite animals.
You’ll see special presentations with the elephants, jaguars, sea lions, and
more. You’ll step into Kipp Aquarium, Carruth Natural Encounters, and the
Reptile & Amphibian House for Meet the Keeper
talks.

At Brew at the Zoo, you’ll enjoy local beer
while helping save local species, like the Houston toad and Attwater’s prairie
chicken, in the wild. The Zoo manages captive breeding programs for both the
Houston toad and Attwater’s prairie chicken, and releases the animals into the
wild to help increase populations. Simply by attending Brew at the Zoo, you help
save local species in the wild!
