Smuttynose News Letter

Bearstronaut, Superhuman Happiness, Disc Golf, Yoga & Beer!

Oktoberfest is Saturday!

We’ve booked Bearstronaut and Superhuman Happiness to play our first Oktoberfest party at Towle Farm. Food trucks have been booked, souvenir minimaß’s are in the house (see photo) and waiting to be filled with Oktoberfest, Pumpkin Ale and many other delicious Smuttynose and Smuttlabs beers.

Pre-sale tickets are $15 ($20 at the door) and include entry, games, bands and your first beer in keepsake half-liter mug. The weather forecast looks perfect, so go ahead and book your tickets now; we’re ready party with you!

Our much-anticipated nine-hole disc golf course is now open to the public!

The course is first-come, first-served and open dawn to dusk. Rental discs and scorecards are available in the Smerch Store, but save your scorecard; it’s good for $2 pints at Hayseed.

We’ll see you at the farm!

Claude Lefebvre and his team from North American Craft stopped in to visit the brewery, just before Finestkind IPA launches in all self-service Beer Stores in Ontario. These folks represent Smuttynose across Canada’s most-populous province.

Fall couldn’t be a more appropriate time from the man who created the first modern Pumpkin Ale, Bill Owens. Bill could be accused of starting the entire pumpkin spice craze, but he’s busy running the American Distillers’ Institute. Check out our new YouTube channel for a Smuttynose Short with Bill.

Brewery Yoga

Bending Bodhi Yoga and Smuttynose are teaming up to bring you a brewery yoga class on Wednesday, October 14 from 5pm-6pm. Your $10 admission includes the hour-long class and a pint or a four-beer sampler in our tasting room afterwards.

There are no reservations or advanced tickets for brewery yoga, but you can RSVP on the Facebook event, if you’re into that sort of thing. Otherwise, just show up early to class with a tenner.

We will reschedule brewery yoga in the event of rain.
