Throwback Brewery – Cask Takeover, Beer Fest Mania, New Tanks and Farm-a-Cue!

Cask Takeover at the Coat of Arms!

It’s NH Beer Week and we’re taking over the cask lines at the Coat of Arms on Friday, June 27th starting at 6 pm.

We’ve been collaborating with Chef Jessie to come up with some great combinations of cask ale and food.  We’re bringing four different beers for these awesome pairings:

– Peach Saison

Grilled shrimp salad on baby artisan greens with a light green curry vinaigrette
– Extra-Hopped Hopstruck Red IPA

St. Louis ribs with a Carolina style BBQ
– Bourbon/Oak-Aged Imperial Stout

Coffee marinated sirloin tips
– Red Wine/Oak-Aged Dippity Do Brown Ale

Spiced chocolate truffles rolled in our beer nuts

Third Annual Farm-a-Q

The 3rd annual Farm-a-Q will take place this year on June 29th at Emery Farm in Durham, NH.  A joint effort of Slow Food Seacoast and the Heirloom Harvest Project, Farm-a-Q is a picnic-style bounty of heirloom and heritage foods grown on local farms and prepared by some of the area’s best restaurants. The afternoon features an incredible buffet, showcasing the abundance of delicious, locally-grown products and the talent of local chefs.

And lots of great local beer too! 🙂

Tickets still available!

The New Tanks are FINALLY all in Place.

Over the past few months, we have been transitioning to larger, jacketed fermenters and brite tanks. The new tanks will give us more flexibility in our brew schedule and a bit more capacity so we can hopefully keep up a little better.  We’ll be taking the tanks with us on our move to Hobbs Farm at the end of this year, so for now, we have our temporary set up so we can use them in the meantime.  We’re all pretty excited to get some beer into them, starting next week.
