Special Meze Plate Night at The Black Trumpet
Speaking of takeovers, we teamed up with Chefs Evan and Carrie of the Black Trumpet to take over their Meze Plate for the night on Friday, February 28th. We collaborated to come up with this amazing meze plate / beer pairing:
1 – Oyster Stout, 5.5% ABV. Mild and soft, slightly briny. Oyster shooter with carrot harissa and caviar
2 – Dark Saison, 6.0% ABV. Chocolate spelt, roasted oats, herbs, very toasty malt flavor. Rabbit Liverwurst Sandwich (with mace and kishk) on spent grain crackerbread with cashew cheese and mustard
3 – Donkey Hote Double IPA 8.2% ABV. Hoppy, slightly sweet and nutty. “Donkey-style” Shrimp and Chicken Gumbo Cake
