When we started selling beer-infused brats this spring at our coastal Delaware brewery, visitors gobbled them up and asked for more.
Light bulb! Let’s get these brats in stores, we thought. And here we are.
Our four brats – Spicy Espresso, Greek Feta, Heirloom Italian and the classic Bratwurst – are now available at more than 50 Northeast retailers, including Kings Food Markets, Balducci’s, Food Bazaar and Murphys Markets.
Punkin Ale: A full-bodied brown ale with pumpkin and spice. Released Labor Day weekend. Keep your eyes peeled for Punkin, ‘cuz it goes quickly! 7% ABV
Bitches Brew: An analog companion to the Miles Davis masterpiece. Bitches Brew fuses three threads of imperial stout and one thread of honey beer with gesho root. 9% ABV
Olde School: A bone-crushing barleywine. A little aging brings out the flavors of the figs and dates that help ferment Olde School. 13-16% ABV
Tweason’ale: Gluten-free with gusto. The hints of molasses and pit-fruit in this sorghum-based beer are balanced by vibrant strawberry and honey notes. 6% ABV
Looking to find Dogfish brews in your neck of the woods? Head over to the Fish Finder, select your brew of choice, enter your ZIP code, and we’ll tell you where it has been delivered in the past 60 days.
Karla is our newest Brewceptionist! Don’t worry, her partner in crime Big Mama is still on the job. This dynamic duo acts kind of like a conductor for our front desk, helping visitors and co-workers get where they need to be and see the people they need to see. If you’re ever looking for either of these ladies, just follow the laughter! OK, Karla, go!
Best thing about Dogfish?
The laid-back atmosphere. I also love watching the reaction of Dogfish lovers’ faces when they see the treehouse and walk into our tasting room.
Do you mean my continuous journey to find the source of our unraveling thread of reality? Or maybe it’s my love of paisley, ‘Ancient Aliens,’ ‘Doctor Who’ and stilettos with studs, buckles, grommets and/or chains.
If you could share a craft beer with anyone – past, present or future – who would it be?
Probably one of my great-great-great-great-grandmothers. Or Benjamin Franklin. 🙂
Just like with our beers, Dogfish Head doesn’t do boilerplate. We figure out what we want to do, then partner with the best people we can find to get the job done.
For example, when we’re working on our T-shirts, sweatshirts, hats and other stuff, we look for three things: organic cotton, recycled materials and a “Made in the USA” tag. One is good, two is better, all three is the dream.
