My Wednesday out this week would include the Badassbeerwife at Smith’s Billiards so she could see our favorite bartender and friend Thai. I got lucky just after we arrived and Thai stepped out and Emmy filed in for him and my first brew at 13% was suppose to be 10oz and I got 14oz woohoo! My both brews were great and from the west coast.
Farking Wheaton w00tstout pours black with good head and lots of sticky lacing. Nose of rich dark roasted malts a hint of oak. Taste is up front rich with big oak barrel and alcohol prominence along with nut and maybe chocolate? Very Badassbeer at 13% served in 14oz stem glass “should of been 10oz” Smith’s Billiards 7/31/13.
Mischief pours golden with short head and sliding lacing. Nose is Belgian and farm house with maybe a spice note? Taste is bold wet and effervescent with the same as smell “Belgian & farm house” nice light malt flavors in a big way. Very good 8.5% served in a 14oz stem glass at Smith’s Billiards on 7/31/13.
