Namaste: A witbier bursting with good karma. Made with dried organic orange slices, fresh-cut lemongrass and a bit of coriander, this Belgian-style white beer is a great thirst quencher. 5% ABV.

Theobroma: Based on the chemical analysis of 3,000-year-old pottery fragments found in Honduras, this Ancient Ale is brewed with artisanal Askinosie cocoa, honey, chilies and annatto. 9% ABV.

120 Minute IPA: The holy grail for hopheads. Age this sought-after big brother to 60 and 90 Minute to bring out sherry and marmalade notes. 15-20% ABV.

Grab a bite to go with your beer

Dogfish Head is well known for mining the culinary landscape for beer ingredients. Now, we’re unveiling a line of foods inspired by our off-centered ales. We’ve carefully selected like-minded partners to join this journey. They include small, artisanal companies like Brooklyn Brine and larger companies like Sea Watch who share strong roots on the Delmarva Peninsula. The foods will be available at select retailers and at our new food truck – dubbed Bunyan’s Lunchbox – parked at our Milton, Del., brewery.

Beer Brats
With Hans All-Natural, Dogfish is producing a line of brats cooked with off-centered ingredients and infused with beers like Midas Touch, Chicory Stout and Raison D’Etre. The brats are the perfect culinary counterpoint to Dogfish Head’s off-centered ales.

Hard-Tack Chowder
Thanks to Delmarva neighbors Sea Watch International – a family-owned clam harvester based in Easton, Md. – Dogfish is deepening its connection to the sea with Hard-Tack Chowder. The chowder, infused with 60 Minute IPA, is brought to life with 8 ounces of half-and-half and 3 ounces of Palo Santo Marron or Indian Brown.

The Hop-Pickle
Distribution of the Hop-Pickle, a first-of-its-kind culinary leap of taste, is expanding to most of the U.S. The all-natural, medium-spicy Hop-Pickle is made with 60 Minute IPA, caramelized onions and Cascade hops and is packaged by hand in Brooklyn Brine’s small artisanal kitchen.

Meet the team: Wes Books

Introducing an old-timer here at Dogfish. Wes has been around 14 of our 18 years! He’s worn many hats in many places in that time, and right now, he’s the Assistant Manager at our brewpub, Dogfish Head Brewings & Eats, in Rehoboth Beach, Del. He’s a proud dad, husband and Phillies fan, and for some reason, Sam serenades him at our annual holiday party. Take it away, Wes …

Favorite Dogfish Head beer?
Namaste. Great beer, especially this time of the year!

If you could share a craft beer with anyone – past, present or future – who would it be?
That’s tough. I would say it’s a toss-up between two of my favorite musicians of the past. Either Bob Marley or Jim Morrison. Probably leaning more toward Jim Morrison, though. He liked to party and I’ve never been threatened by a good time!

Upcoming events

After five consecutive years of hosting SAVOR in Washington, D.C., the Brewers Association is bringing the event to New York City. SAVOR will be held this weekend at the Altman Building and adjoining Metropolitan Pavilion in Manhattan. Tickets for this premier craft beer+food experience are still available here!
