Throwback Cask Takeover at The Coat of Arms & Other Fun May Events
Throwback Brewery

Summer Farmers’ Market

For those of you wondering, “Hey, the Summer farmers’ markets have started – where’s Throwback?”- here’s an update.  We did get accepted at the Portsmouth market and some days at the Exeter and Dover markets. However, we need to wait for the NH liquor board to approve our attendance before we can attend.  If that goes well, then you can expect to see us at many markets throughout the Summer – starting May 23rd in Exeter.

At the markets we will bring 22-oz bottles and filled growlettes. You can either buy a new growlette at the market, or bring your existing growlette(s) in for exchange!

Check out the calendar of dates we will be attending here

Cask Takeover at the Coat of Arms – May 18th

This week is American Craft Beer Week, and to celebrate we are taking over the casks at the Coat of Arms on Saturday, May 18th – starting at 7pm.  To make this event even more special, we are working with the Chef Jessie to put together some special food pairing suggestions!

So what will be on cask?

  • Who is Marion Wit? – A marionberry wit, which we are very excited to try as the Coat will be the only place this beer will appear.
  • Hopstruck – Our red IPA is delightful on cask… in fact, it never lasts very long at the Coat!
  • Stout #3 with vanilla beans – Another of our favorites on cask — the vanilla complements the smoothness of this beer, making it super smooth and extremely drinkable!

Hopefully we will see you this coming Saturday. If you are a Facebook fan, please let the Coat know you will be going on their Facebook event page.

Rhubarb Wit Available On Thursday

The snow is gone, the grass is green, the flowers are blooming…. and it’s time for Rhubarb Wit!  Back by popular demand, our Rhubarb Wit will be on tap this coming Thursday (4-7pm), and will be on tap until it kicks!  For those of you who have not tried this beer, it is a traditional Belgian White (or Wit) made with belgian ale yeast, orange peal, chamomile, oats, wheat, and local rhubarb. The result is a really drinkable, summery beer with a very pleasant, citrusy / lemon flavors that come through at the end.  5% A.B.V.
