Started out late Friday evening with the badassbeerwife wanting to see if any democrats were still around near Smith’s Billiards. No one that was running for office but plenty of delegates and the place was packed. We did find a seat and enjoyed a couple of brews which were Peak Organic Simcoe Spring and Wormtown Be Hoppy IPA. While outside for a smoke I found someone handing out cards for some place called the Q so we checked it out on our way home. It turns out that it’s the old defunct Boston Billiards under a new name Q Pinz’s Billiard Club on RT 5 West Springfield. We checked it out and even though I didn’t count the number of taps and exactly what where on them I found an old favorite of mine Long Trail Double Bag that put a cap on this night.
Table and Vine have had what they called a Keg Party for the last two years and this year had advertised free hot dogs hamburgers and beer Saturday noon to 4pm. Well there were no kegs this year and there was only a hand full of Brewers pouring from cans and bottles they were Shock Top, Harpoon, BBC, and Opa-Opa. Compared to last year this was really small but we still had a nice time. On our ride home we stopped close by at Bottega Cucina West Springfield for our first time to check it out and found about seven tap with great brews pouring from them and enjoyed a Nitro Left Hand Milk Stout which was excellent. Our next stop would be at Westfield River Brewing to fill a couple of growlers one with the Farmhouse Wheat and the second with the Experimental Brew which was suppose to be their new IPA but it fall way short and was a little on the bland side but drinkable. Hopefully they will get it right on their next batch.
Sunday would be a work around the yard day and drink some of our growlers that still had brews in them.
No tasting reviews’ seeing it was a mostly wet and hectic weekend and most of the brews I had have been posted already!
