Another laidback day and I forgot to say yesterday that the bike trip was real short, flat tire short! It exploded in the heat of the sun!
We did take a short trip to Olde Forge for lunch just a short distance away. I had my wings along with Rogue Dead Guy ale which was great. But to put out the fire I needed something else and that would be.
Nectar IPA that poured copper in color with big head that settled down some with plenty of thick lacing. Nose of grapefruit/lemon with pine earthy note. First sip is almost sweet like an imperial, than a hoppy twang but on the gentle side. Some after bite that lingers around mouth. This put the fire out from the wings and should be a Badassbeer!
some of their awards for wings!
