Thomas Hooker Brewing

On my annual Hooker tour and visit with other beer friends. We found that they were in a renovation of their building inside. What they are going is moving the visitors sampling room to the front of building, and making room for a lager capacity brewing and bottling line in the back. The news must be right about craft brewing being on the rise, which is a good thing for us brew lovers and it shows here. With make shift areas here and there it did not slow down the staff nor the visitors that came for sampling or growler refills. Only thing that bothered me a little was only 4-taps flowing, with 8 standards and 3 seasonal my taste buds were set for their Old Marley Barleywine. I did get to try 5 brews and they were their two of the seasonal Nor’easter and Watermelon. The two year rounds were Irish Red and Hop Meadow IPA. The fifth was from bottle it was Liberator Doppelbock, it was still worth the five dollar tasting fee I just double up on a couple of them. Hopefully on my next visit everything will be up a running new and my taste buds will not suffer. But it’s congrats to Thomas Hooker for doing so well and making good brews. And as someone there had said it’s the only hooker you can put your lips on and not get in trouble with the wife or girl friend.
